Project Description

Tehidy Country Park Pond

Tehidy is the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall. Now managed as a Country Park, Tehidy has over 9 miles (14.5km) of paths and 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore. The Basset family has been linked to Tehidy since the 11th century formally owning the country park which is an area of importance to Cornish history. CGS Contractors worked on the behalf of Cormac solutions to remove the accumulated silt from a pond to allow for a clear flow of a stream into, through and out of the pond. The removed material was to be tipped in an area alongside the pond and levelled out by the excavator. This job is similar to other jobs we have carried out in the past such as improving the flow of the red river in Marazion into mounts bay on the behalf of St Aubyns estates.
